This place is overpriced for what you get. I am a price sensitive student, but thought that I could at least get a small takeaway box with some different items (all of which looked amazing) and which did not weigh too much. Mind you, none of these were the main course items - just salads and sides, etc.

Was I in for a shock! The total price was GBP 10! And I was very conscious of not putting heavy items and did not fill the box to capacity. I had to ask the server if this was the right price 2x. I will not be going back there after such a nasty sticker shock.

All the stuff is on show, looks great and clearly they have concentrated their efforts on the looks, as the stuff sells on the basis of the looks. The execution is however uneven. Some items are clearly not fresh, dry and undercooked (to last longer?). I asked what they do with the croissants; cakes; pastries etc at day's end...whether they give them away like pret a manger; or sell at a discount like neal's yard or??? The innocent staff said thay just put it away and serve it next day! I asked what if it was still left over, and got the same answer!! So the stuff you buy may be several days old,be warned. At their excruciating price levels, this is scandalous. A muffin is over £3. Many cakes (mostly flour and water and sugar) are sold by the weight i.e.x£ per 100 grams,so a reasonable slice is often well over £7!I fervently hope the credit crunch sweeps away places like this, or at least forces them to a more honest level of pricing and selling practices.

Went for breakfast. I ordered a croissant and a cup of tea. The croissant was first class. I enjoyed it with some of the fine jams on offer. The tea was indifferent, consisting of a tea bag floating in the cup.

Okay this place looks great and some of the food is good. However the desserts tend to be very dry, cakes and tarts - for the prices they charge you would expect excellent quality.

Wow, what a place. You go in and you just have all the delicious foods infront of you, aubergine and parsley, pasta salads, pastries, quiche, everything and its new nearly everyday! You just tell the staff what you want, they put it in a box for you and hey presto! You have it and all you have to do is eat and enjoy, its brilliant!
