Was very impresed with food on offer. Went for the ribs and they fantastic as were the super fat chips that came with them. Service was ok need to be quick to catch the bar staffs attention as is table service but all in all a very pleasaent night!!

I recently booked an table at the Comedy Cafe and was surprised of how funky it looks now - the interior has been revamped and the is some lovely booth seating!! We had a great night out - the servive was fast and friendly for a busy venue, and the food very nice. They do some amazing home-made Pies and I can speciAlly recommend theIr lamb & pumpkin one! My friend tried the Acapulco Ensalada and was very happy with her choice. The comedians were good and had us in stitches. i can't wait to go back!!! Did I mention the cocktails? do try!

The second review pretty much sums this place up.
It has far too many people. Far too few staff.
The food has all been deep fried and reminds me of the Simpsons episode where Moe buys the deep fat fryer from the US Navy.
The toilets are swimming in urine by the end of the evening.
The place is filthy beyond belief.
The comedy is ok but why bother enduring the rest when there are better clubs elsewhere in London.

I loved the Comedy Cafe on Rivington Street. Great drinks and an interesting menu. Would recommend for a quick, fairly cheap meal.

Good, efficient service and quality food is not a high priority at the Comedy Café.
Service was extremely slow and the venue understaffed. Drinks took ages to arrive. Waiters were not experienced. What’s the point in ordering starters if it comes after the main meal (when it eventually was delivered!) Food was bland – some meals were too hot and some cold.
I wouldn’t recommend eating here at all.
On a more positive note - some of the acts were good.
