A fantastic location is not complemented by fantastic food/service. This restaurant is a total disappointment. We waited nearly 2 hours for food to arrive - and it didn't arrive at the same time. The manager seemed to be unaware / disinterested in sorting the problem out. I'm sure our group wasn't the only one that was suffering. The restaurant will not survive in this area given the quality of a large number of other lcoal restaurants. Needless to say we won't be going back.

Lovely location, great food and efficient (if not friendly) service. Would definitely return.

One thing to mention - this website as the address as Easterfields, which is wrong - it's Eastfields. The error confused out black cab driver.

Went with reservations after reading the previous rating, but as it was also 50% of thought it couldn't be that bad. The restaurant was fairly busy on arrival and the staff were pleasant and took our orders quickly.

However waited over an 45 minutes then realized they had lost the order, then it took nearly another 30 minutes to get out starters due to the restaurant filing up and us receiving no change in priority.

Not so much a problem with the staff, mistakes do happen but it was blatantly evident the restaurant was understaffed, with one waiter literally running from table to table (and the only reason anyone got served by midnight).

Otherwise the food was good, the starters when they finally arrived were well presented and tasty, the mains were also with creative and effective flavors, the mildly undercooked but better than overdone I guess.

The deserts here were simply incredible and almost made up for the appalling wait before hand.

To top it off they slapped on a 10% service charge which was removed when asked.

A nice restaurant that could do so much better with a few more staff.

Went last night, they were obviously short staffed and it showed in a bad way. We were seated promptly but then waited 10 minutes to order drinks, which then took a further 15mins to arrive. Surley a Ricard and a Peroni shouldn't take so long?!

The food was distinctly average, We had salmon which was over cooked and chicken breast which was boring, the side dish (carrots in orange juice) came out a good 5 minutes after the meals. We regularly had one waiter come up to us with the wrong food or drinks only to be shouted at by the only man who knew what he was doing. All in all it was a dissapointment but with 50% off who'd complain? I'd like to go back as i hope the bad service was purely down to a combination of short staff and good weather (the outside terrace was full).

COULD DO BETTER

Great night out and lovely location. We celebarted a 50th Birtday (45 of us). Food was good and staff very attentive.

Average cost per person was approx £45 which was great value for money.

This place seems to have wildly varying reviews, from fantastic to terrible. Our experience was just very mediocre. On the plus side it's in a great location and it's quite pleasantly done out. Unfortunately, there's not much else to add there. For starters we had the fried calamari which were fantastic and a bruschetta with buffalo mozarella, which was okay. The mains were distinctly average, with a crab ravioli that looked fresh out of the supermarket packet, and some extremely forgettable seabass. Dessert was chocolate profiteroles, which were rather oversweet and cloying. The service was on a par with the food, pretty average, polite but slow.

Great location but unfortunately it doesn't make up for the food. I wouldn't go back and I wouldn't recommend it.

By the sounds of the other reviews we were lucky. We sat outside with the heat lamps. The service wasn’t the best I’ve had, but the elderly Italian waiter knew the food, joked around and was very friendly.

Our food was cooked to perfection. It was really world class and good value. I’d definitely go there again, but wont expect great service every time by reading the service ratings below. Fantastic spot on the Thames.

I have been to this restaurant several times and have never been disappointed. This is real Italian! where the waiters make you feel special and the food has always been impeccable. The location is one of the best in London based in Frenchman's square a real special find!
