Bunch of friends and I went there for christmas eve dinner, we were recommended by others as they had been before.

welcoming atmosphere, i thought the staff was quite friendly as they always had a grin.

Put us in the christmas spirit, with the decorations and music.

we ordered the satay platter, which was quite nice, food came fairly quickly so we weren't left waiting for a long time. we also had the baked lobster which was delicious.

tea's and coffees were ordered to finish the night.

overall it was a good night to spend christmas and food was worth its price.

Very disappointing. our Christmas party last night 18 of us went to this restaurant.

Starters: Expensive, some OK,some poor esp at these prices. They arrived over about 15mins so some had finished eating whilst others waited.

Crispy Duck/Veggie version: Veggie arrived again about 15mins before non veg version, not many pancakes, just sooooo average.

Mains: 1/2 of us gave up and didn't bother with mains, other 1/2 ordered.A lot of it was un eaten.

Staff :Amazingly uninterested in us having a good time.

Sum it up: I asked for a coffee, genuinely thought I hadn't been heard so politely repeated my request and was snapped back at 'I heard you' !!

Don't bother going here if you want anything other than an expensive average at best meal.

It's been a long time since I've been to taste of china . Went back last night, and may I say, the food has gotten much better!

Less greasy and the general atmosphere in the restaurant was warm and welcoming.

I'm glad their standards haven't slipped, and I am strongly recommending others to go try it out, especially the duck pancake .

i had went there recently to celebrate my friends birthday. We had warm welcomes from the staff and was brought to a descent sized table.

The food overall was good, especially the duck pancake wrap, DELICIOUS! The main course was very nice, but there was too much food and we were already really full.

The total price was around £100, but thats shares between four people, so i reckon thats reasonable.

Overall i really enjoyed it and i would recommend this restaurant to others.

Worth going!

I was at this restaurant over the weekend, decided to take the family out to a local halal chinese.

To my suprise, it was the worst chinese food i have ever had!

The starters were dry and just dabbed in floor, the main dishes were disgusting! I then decided to leave the desert.

I am unsure why such a restaurant is even in service.

Other issues: Wrong main courses arrived

Chicked was like scraps off the chicken

Duck was dry and over cooked

Service was good, food extremely poor.

Great, reasonably priced restaurant in the centre of Harrow. Two problems with menu, however. Firstly no soft shelled crabs. I'm sure they used to be on the menu. Second shark fin soup is on the menu which given the cruelty involved in harvesting that particular item is unacceptable in today's society. I wouldn't go back until that is removed from menu. Service was very good indeed.

We went to Taste of China on the 8/1/11 last minute; we chose it becasue it was so busy - a good sign. We were deeply disappointed the prawn crackers were old had been left sitting for a long time. We chose the set menu for two - 19.90 per person. The service was swift but from a waitress who looked like she was dragged out of bed and very unhappy to be there.

The starter was ok the peanut sauce was the worst I ever had. We ordered beers which were in cans and very over priced - not acceptable for a restaurant to serve small cans of beer only to make a profit.

Our main course was lots of dishes of which not one was edible the chiken was dry in a so called garlic sauce - could not taste the garlic. The prawns came in a sauce that looked like it was made with cornflower - disgusting.

The chilli beef was tasteless in a boring dry sauce. We were untterly disgusted. How can restaurants as big as this get away with such a bad service. Purely lack of thought and ingredients to please customers. NEVER AGAIN. Will also be telling friends. A bill of £60.00 that was totally wasted.

Serve your customers decent edible food - terrible

On Father's day, we went to Taste of China in Harrow about 2.25p.m. it was busy. We were shown to a table near the front shop window - the sun was blazing, small children were gathered around the fish pond. We sat down and had to wait for few minutes - we looked around and there were a few tables empty. As we have have been there before we were quite disappointed with the service - no prawn crackers, no finger bowls and had to wait for thirty minutes before we got our drinks which arrived with our starters. The waitress realised that the sun was too bright , started to unfold the shutters. When the waitress brought our food she had difficultly as small children did not want to budge from the fish pond which was next to our table. Surely we felt that the staff could have mentioned to parents that their children were standing next to our table. The staff seemed to be rushed off their feet. Only crispy duck was good - the rest of the food was awful. Bill for three of us was £110.00 - two glasses of wine.

We left all the food - we requested for our bill and the waitress just looked at our plates without saying anything - no finger bowls. WE DID NOT TIP- SERVICE LOUSY - FOOD GREASY - THIS WAS ALSO ECHOED BY OUR FRIENDS WHO TOO ATE IN THIS RESTAURANT ON THAT DAY.
