La Dolce Vita

I had lunch in this restaurant in on 15th November 2007. I liked the decor and found the service charming

- and my 'Tagliatelle Pescatore' contained nice seafood. The pasta however was very definitely overcooked - such as you would never ever get in Italy - and this totally spoiled the meal for me

Considering this dish cost £9.50 plus 12 and half per cent service charge, I feel the kitchen should be taking a little more care (the restaurant was not even busy so they can't even hold this up as an excuse). Most of the cheap - Italian owned - workman's Cafes I have been to (costing half this price) cook pasta better than this.

Wonderful authentic italian food. The pizzas are enormous and thin and crispy. Lovely wine list, very friendly manager. Quiet, welcoming and leisurely.
