Is this part of the same chain as the Aussie 'la Porchetta's? If so, we've definitely got the better end of the deal

Cheap and cheerful really describes this place. Good & very reasonably priced food, great service and an altogether jolly atmosphere.

Very good if you want a quick dinner, but they're perfectly happy to let you linger over the wine bottles too....

Good takeaway too!

La Porchetta's may be cheap but that doesn't mean its only quality is its cheerfulness. The pizzas are probably the best in London, thin and crispy but with plentiful toppings. There are also eminently-drinkable carafes of house wine to complete the bargain-prize meal.

We had originally wanted to dine at the Upper Street, Islington restaurant as we had very good experiences here when we lived in London, but it is closed during week lunchtimes.

This branch is very much more up to date decor wise. Staff were friendly and our drinks were free (lunchtime special - first drink free beer, wine and soda)

SAme menu as other branch and on the occasions we dined there we both enjoyed the food. I would definately recommend it to anyone who likes authentic italian food at a reasonable price.

this is the best italian resturant in london, i recommended it to all my freinds.

i thought that the service was very pleasing and the atmosphere was a true italian way of life felt as close to italy as i could get.

The owner was exceedingly nice, he came over to me and welcomed me and personally recommended their specialty.

do visit!

Iv always found the food in la prochetta enjoyable, on time and hot! Great tasting pizzas n pastas. A variety of delious desserts. The waiters are always around if needed and very poliet. They can get quite busy and the music is loud but they always manage to keep us happy! I would recomment this restauant for birthdays as all the staff get together and sing happy birthday to you with pots and pans!! Its quite funny!
