I have been to City Noto several times at lunch now. I always enjoy the food and have mostly sat at the conveyor belt, where the sushi is delicious. Ordering and receiving drinks has always been a bit slow, but I have not minded too much as I could take my food when I wanted.
However, I went on August 3rd with a group of 5 people and sat at a main table. Although the food was excellent as ever and the bowls of ramen (which I hadn't tried before) were huge and well presented, the service really was poor. The staff were prefectly nice but everything was extremely slow. It took some time to order, a while for our drinks to arrive and our food (eventually) didn't all arrive together. Ironically, the fastest thing was the bill, while the plate with change on did not come back as speedily. We were not in a hurry fortunately, but the people at the table next door to us, on the way to the airport and having waited nearly an hour for food were not patient or happy. City Noto will have to pull its socks up if it is aiming at the City lunch market.

I had lunch with my boss here; we sat in the restaurant area (as opposed to by the conveyor belt). The food was delicious (I had the sashimi set lunch, which came with miso soup, rice and fruit) and the service very polite and attentive. This is a really class joint and we had a lovely meal for about £25 a head.

I LOVE this restaurant. I am a very regular customer as I work nearby and find it excellent value for lunch. The set lunch menus are great, for approximately £12 you get soup, salad, fruit and a huge main dish or sushi platter. The food is always excellent and the service incredibly friendly (albeit a little slow on occasions). The house wine is also very good and not too pricey. It's great to go somewhere that has an upmarket interior and great atmosphere and costs under £15.00 for lunch.

Went there by chance and had a fairly good experience. Convenient location(opposite Monument tube stn/north-side of London Bridge). Not many of such kind serving around that area. The restaurant offers 2 kinds of dining.Casual (conveyor-belt) or 'fine' (table-service).Atmosphere is nice. Most dishes are deliciously good value ,ex:ala carte sushi & ramen noodle soup)but some are just not worth considering due to the prices.Good range of Japanese and New world wines. After the meal we had a stroll along the bridge which capped off a nice evening for us. Our spending for that evening was about £30 each.Definitely recommend the sushi.
