Very good sushi, decent tempura, pork katsu curry was excellent as well. Service was very friendly and efficient but very much more canteen-style than restaurant but that's fine for lunchtimes in the City. Very generous lunch for 2 came to just over £50 (no wine) Good value for the quality and considering the location - wouldn't go back every day but every so often for a treat, or if someone else is paying, it'll be near the top of my list.

Delicious sashimi served on a conveyor belt. Wide range of alternative [cooked] Japanese fare too.

Great atmosphere over lunch, very much an off the radar place [no website! no google entry!] but still very busy and needs to be booked ahead between noon and 2pm

I am regualar at this busy eaterie and the food is absolutely brilliant and good value for a Japanese restaurant in the city. And can't fault the excellent service from the staff and the ever friendly manager, Kim.

Highly recommend the set bento box lunches especially the sashimi & tempura set or the chicken teriyaki for non seafood lovers - generous portions of chicken pieces.

What can I say, the atmosphere is great, the staff were so friendly and above all, the food was delicious! I would die for those salmon sashime!!! Everything from the set lunch menus to green tea is quality at its best. Its perfect if you work in the city and you want something quick, yet traditional. Its a change from the ordinary Yo sushi and the service is even better. They do lunch as well and its perfect for informal meetings over lunch. I 've been here a couple of times and I LOVE IT.

I went to this restaurant with a group of worl mates, and we found it exstremly good. The service was top class, i don't know what the other's are thinking about it being slow. I consider myself a Connoisseur at japanese cusine, and this restaurant found it's place at the top end of my spectruim.

I found the suhi chef to be to top class and making the sushi, he is also a great credit to japanese cookery. How he seemed to be unmotivated is past me.

WELL DONE MUGEN!

Went recently for lunch and service was still very slow. We sat at the sushi counter and although the sushi is still good, the chef was either deeply unmotivated or extremely lazy as dishes were coming round at the rate of about one a minute....the management of this place really need to sort things out.

Been there several times. Set lunch is okay value for money, but best to avoid sushi if you know what good sushi is, Shari(rice) is always too wet and luck of vinegar.

Better to avoid them if you have'nt got much time for lunch, as the services are VERY slow.

Went last night and both my husband and I were very impressed with the food (I'm Japanese, so I know what I'm talking about!) We had a couple of bottles of beer each and plenty of sushi and the bill came to around £55 including service. Given the location, I don't think this is very expensive. Service was just about right, very pleasant and not pussy at all. The only criticism is that they don't seem to separate the smoking and non-smoking areas that well, although they asked about it when we first got in. If you happen to sit close to a group of Japanese salaried men, you might end up with smoky sushi.

I've had lunch and dinner a few times as it's close to my office. I was quite impressed at first when it was opened but the quality of food and the level of service are getting kind of slack. Still good value for money, particularly, it is located in the City.
