Tamarind Indian Cuisine

Have been eating at The Tamarind since it's opening (local restaurant to me) - always had excellent food and service. However...............took some clients down with us on saturday for a meal and regrettably have to say that, although the food was fantastic, as usual, we had to send 4 out of 6 of the meals ordered back twice because it was cold.

Every saturday they have a live singer, and although she is very good, she was extremely loud this week! One of my clients asked one of the staff if they could ask her to turn down the volume on the speakers, as we could actually not hear each other talking!

I will be taking this matter up directly with The Tamarind, and in spite of my above comments, I would not hesitate in recommending this restaurant to anyone. Their food is absolutely brill and the portions are big. Their staff are extremely friendly and helpful

My rating overall would be 10 out of 10 for every aspect of this restaurant, but regrettably this week I am afraid that I have to mark them much lower!

Fantastic food! I'm usually a bit wary of eating indian food as it sometimes doesn't agree with me BUT Tamarind has great service and the food is to die for!!

this is the place to be . we have visited many indian resturants over the years and this tops them all . excellent food and service . a wonderfull atmosphere and live jazz nights with some great voices . the ambiance is good as are the helpfull friendly staff . make it a good night and visit the tamarind you wont be dissapointed
