My friend was so excited to go here for her birthday and what a let down it was!!

Our food took ages to arrive, with no apology for the delay, and when all but one of our party had their meals in front of them, the remaining person was informed they had run out of lamb and asked her to choose something else. This meant that most had finished their meal when hers finally arrived. The food was over-priced and mediocre - though my sole was perfectly ok, it had no side and was not worth the £29 I had to pay.

We were offered the replacement meal for free but when we refused to pay the optional service charge (already added to our bill), they recinded the offer. The manager was rude and aggressive: 'the customer is always right' seemed to be a phrase he had never heard of. Customer service skills were on the whole much needed at The Wellington.

When we went to the area we booked downstairs, it was cramped and the music was poor. Our table service was also very slow! The manager then came down and pursued my poor friend about more details to do with the meal!

Certainly not somewhere I will be going back to and will advise my friends to keep a wide berth.

Loved the vibe and quirkiness of this place, the decor still makes me laugh at how imaginative and unusual it is like the leather straps on the table- I mean this in a good way... This place is actually a nightclub and you must be a member to get in, but if you are one, they have a small restaurant (maybe 30 people can fit in) and my friend is a member so he could get us past the door men who were about to tell me I couldn't go... I didn't enjoy that for a moment.

There were 4 in our group and the food came quickly, the staff were very friendly and very attentive. I thought the food was delicious and the drinks too.

The pricing is mid-upper level but if you can afford to be a member, then I don't think you'll notice. Also for the quality and the service I think it is far better than most restaurants and clubs around.

The club is very cool too, I loved the art/graffiti work, very unique!
