I am extremely disappointed in this restaurant. I went in with my girlfriend to have a nice quiet meal on a friday night. All seemed pleasant, until we found out that there was a opera singer performing in there!!! It was hard to talk with my partner and then to our dismay this opera singer would try and scare you from behind and start singing in you ear!!!! It does not stop there but then later on he came up to our table and threw our cutlery on the floor and took my girlfriend sitting on her chair still to the middle of the restaurant!! And then started to pretend to grope her and then ran around the restaurant with her on his shoulders!!! I did not go there for opera or for a circus show. Still it does not end there. The food took very long to be served, and before i had finshed my starters the presumptious waiter try to take it away!!! The quality of the food was average, the service was appalling. I would definitely not reccomend this place to any of my friends.

Situation: Valentines dinner with my girlfriend
Pros:
-The food was good
-valentines meal value was ok (£64 for two set meals plus 4 glasses of wine)
Cons:
-This restaurant DOES NOT TAKE CARDS, in the 21st century this is not 'old fashioned', it is simply outdated, archaic and unproffessional.
-The above is in addition to the fact that none of the restaurants phone numbers are in service, I actually went in person to book a table.
-The waiter was presumpsious enough to NOT come back with the change when I paid for the meal (I laid down £70, the meal cost £64). The tip is never a given, it is an extra!
Overall impression is that I felt this was run more like a part time operation which cut corners and costs rather than a quality restaurant. I won't be returning any time soon.

I went to this restaurant last month with 3 generations of my family. The staff were fantastic, very attentive and friendly.
The food was great, well chosen, well cooked good food. The menu is simple and delicious.
It was great value for money, and I can see myself returning with several different people on my trips home.

We went here a couple of weeks ago and when we first sat down and looked at the menu we thought about leaving as it was all sandwiches and salads but the waiter was so attentive and friendly we felt we couldn't go!
I'm really glad we stayed because the food was delicious, the ingredients wonderfully fresh and the atmosphere fantastic. we could bring our own wine which was an added bonus.
The manager is clearly passionate about what kind of restaurant he is creating - a sort of laid back, artisan, bohemian place where people can take their time enjoying their food. we didn't leave until after midnight and there was nothing that hinted they were ready to get rid of us.
I walked past the restaurant recently and noticed they had now extended their menu to include things other than sandwiches and salads which i think is sensible.
It always saddens me as the restaurant is really quite empty and it doesn't deserve to be - I would urge others to give it a go as i'm sure you will want to come back.
