Having read the excellent reviews on this site,we booked into this Bar/Cafe for Sunday lunch, but in fact it was nearly empty. Despite being a large converted pub, it still has a very welcoming atmosphere

The food is excellent and served by the'family', who are absolutely charming and friendly.

This is a hidden gem, which in any other part of town would be packed out. For those who are not familiar with vietnamese food, it is not as hot as Thai and relies more on the flavours from fresh herbs. Well worth trying. The starters were particulalry enjoyed by the whole party, as were the vietnames noodle dishes

The menu also contains many other familiar Asian dishes.

Very enjoyable meal

Excellent restaurant. First class service by friendly and helpful staff. The tasteful decor and ambience were extremely pleasant and relaxing. I would highly reccomend this restaurant if you are familiar with Vietnamese food or a new comer. Make sure you try the starter soft vietnamese spring rolls.... delicious!

After trying as many Vietnamese restaurants in London as possible, this is easily the best one by far. The menu is far more extensive than places in Shoreditch making it worth the trip to Wandsworth. I would walk across eleven postcodes just to get some of the papaya salad.

I absolutely love this restaurant. The food is so fresh and tasty and as a newcomer to vietnamese food, this place has got me hooked. The spicy vietnamese noodle soup is delicious and all the starters are fantastic. The decor could probably be a little better but the prices are really good and the staff are so friendly and enthusastic that it more than makes up for it. Would definitely recommend it.

This must be the only Vietnamese restaurant in London where you can find Bo Tai Chanh (a dish with rare cooked beef with heaps of lemon grass, other herbs, lime and pineapple & baby banana garnishes) and the best Banh Xeo (crispy golden pancake with beansprouts, prawns & meat)!

As a Viet' myself, I'm very fussy with my food- but Saigon Lounge always live up to expectations.

The service is good- friendly & efficient and never uncomfortably formal.

Cool place to eat, drink, relax with a bunch of friends.

Saigon Lounge is a welcome addition to the Wandsworth Town bar and restaurant scene. Situated on Wandsworth High St, it is easily accessible by train or bus and a great place to pop in to for lunch if you work in the area (I imagine the council office workers take full advantage) or if you fancy dinner or drinks in the evening.

The new owners are building up the food side of the business and turning what was traditionally a large pub, into a much more upmarket bar/restaurant serving excellent Vietnamese and pan-Asian cuisine.

We had a range of dishes when we visited in the evening and they were all cooked to perfection. Tangy prawns, fresh catfish, fluffy white rice, wondrous vegetable dishes and probably the best spring rolls I have ever tasted. I could go on but my mouth is still watering from the thoughts of it all. Service is happy, smiley and very efficient.

I believe that at weekends they have a late license till 4am and a DJ, which means that as a drinking venue, this is probably has the latest license in Wandsworth. Be sure to keep yourself charged up and stave off the inevitable hangover with a selection of dishes from the menu!
