Mesopotamia

I searched high and low on the internet trying to find a restaurant for my wife's birthday that was good value, children friendly and had class. I came across the Mesopotamia by accident and after reading its great reviews I thought and said to my daughter this place sounds too good to be true. Well may I say how wrong I was! I am not easily pleased and can be fussy about what and where I eat, therefore, to get a review like this from me says a lot about the restaurant. The decor is exquisite. It's beautifully done and takes you on a journey of the Middle East. The food is wonderful. The combination of spices and herbs produce flavours that make you eat past your comfort level. The food is not too spicy, but enough to make you inquisitive to want more and more. Compliments to the Chef! Portions are of a good size and the cost is reasonable for the catchment area (roughly) £20 a head. Location is great within walking distance of Wembley Station and on bus route. Parking is available outside the restaurant after 6.30pm . The Owners are on hand to welcome you personally and are truly lovely people. Their attention to detail is second to none. We visited during the week (Tuesday evening) it was quiet, but I have read other reviews and they stated weekends are busy and booking in advance is encouraged. Very family orientated, children are most welcome and catered for. Mesopotamia is a jewel place to eat, relax and enjoy without breaking the bank. A must to visit.
