Cinnamon

Definitely the best curry in SE London! We have been eating here for a very long time, and every time we try somewhere else, just for a change, we regret it!

The guys are so friendly and nice and the food is the best we have tasted. The only minus point is that it's not usually that atmospheric to sit in the restaurant to eat, we normally get takeaway...

What has happened to Cinnamon!

I have been enjoying curry's from Cinnamon for at least 3 years and had not had one for a while until Friday evening. In the past, the quality has been excellent with an abundance of meat in each dish - extremely tasty!

But not on Friday :-(

We ordered both a lamb bhuna and a lamb madras. The lamb bhuna was barely acceptable but the madras - I kid you not - had 5 tiny pieces of lamb in it. This was covered in what can only be described as a thin stew like sauce. I would not have served it up as a school dinner!!!!!

I duly rang up and complained and they did offer to send another one which I accepted. This turned up and was no better than the first one. It went straight in the bin in fact. I was extremely surprised that following a complaint, an effort was clearly NOT made to rectify the dish.

I do hope that this was a one off - as I said before, I have always enjoyed currys from Cinnamon and have indeed reccommended it to people many times.

Please, please sort it out Cinnamon!

i absoloutely LOVE this restaurant. I tend to choose to go there for my birthday or when i want to treat myself to a GOOD indian takeaway. I love indian curries and have had had many from different restaurants and Cinnamon is by far the best. I have been a customer from when they first opened and me and my family love going there. Absolutely beautiful food and excellent service, would highly recommend! Also lovely atomsphere. Would love if they delivered to my area but i live a bit too far :(

Whenever our mates from Delhi are in town - who are fairly spoilt for choice Indian eateries, they insist on Cinnamon. Not for them the fancy prices of Babur or Bombay Bicycle - just the brilliance of the food and the class of service that's second to none. Get down there - or get a takeaway.

I found the menu for this places tucked in-between the wedge of other leaflets for food within a five mile radius. It offers a fusion of South-Asian food and has a brilliant selection of Indian/ Thai food. Every meal we've ordered is of high quality and very tasty, there' always enough food that we always have in two days in row. My husband I decided to try out the restaurant one night, it's hidden away off Lewisham High Road, and by the look of the place doe not do the food justice. However, on entrance its cosy, nicely decorated and the staff are very friendly and polite but not overly intrusive. They wine list was extensive enough for a local eatery and priced very reasonable, what surprised me about Cinnamon is the effort that they put into presentation and freshness of food. If, you’ve ever been to Babur [the restaurant on Brockley Road] it is I’d say better quality for half the price. I highly recommend this place and as a girl bought up eating authentic Indian food, I’m sure you’ll enjoy the menu.

Best Indian in the area! This restaurant is streets above the rest!

The takeaway service is great, and sitting in the restaurant is also a pleasure. The staff are friendly and the food is extremely good!

I highly recommend the Lamb Dhansak!! Amazing!!
