One Eight One at The Rockwell

One Eight One is a charming restaurant that serves excellent English food and has a large wine list. It is a great place that has just opened. The only place in London I have been where one can eat al fresco in a garden next to three six foot flower pots.

The atmosphere is stylish but still relaxed. The garden is also suprisingly quiet as it is very close to the Cromwell Road.

I had the fois gras terrine to start with followed by wild sea bass, washed down with a bottle of Ausrian wine. Both courses were of a far higher standard to what I was expecting to get in a restaurant on the Cromwell Road and as a resident it comes as a welcome relief.
