Furnace is super! I went there with my friends last Saturday. it was a busy night. the restaurant was full, but none of the waitress rushed us. I really did enjoy my dinner. pizza which i had was delicious!! i never had such a good pizza before. Service was great and atmosphere was really nice too. If you are around Shoreditch there is no way to do not go to the Furnace! highly recommended.

Furnace is one of my favourite restaurants in Shoreditch. I just love their pizzas, particularly one with rocket and buffalo cheese. I very much like the atmosphere and service always friendly and attentive. Going tomorrow to have more pizza.

Furnace was disappointing. The service was mediocre and although the restaurant was not full, we felt rushed. The atmosphere is not particularly warm or friendly overall; the pizza with artichokes was fine, but the bufala mozarella pizza was terrible - cold and tasteless. I won't go back in a hurry.

This is your typical London mediocre soulless restaurant with an uninspiring menu. Most dishes turn up with 80% extra garlic-chilly sauce without request. The waitresses are all imported from a hairdresser's and not very welcoming.
After my third and last visit I still fail to understand how it's possible to get a Pizza wrong.

Came here for my birthday with friends on Saturday night, what a find. Had a lovely meal which I couldn't fault. Three of us had Pizza, they are huge and enjoyed by all, my other friend had the fish specail which looked lovely and by all accounts was! If you have room for pudding then do, the tiramasu (if thats how you spell it) was lovely and a massive portion and the cheesecake on the next table looked just as good!
Was a really relaxed evening and never felt rushed by our waitress which is nice when so many places all they want is to get your money and get the next customers in!
I am going back when I am next over in that area, or maybe get a takeaway.

Furnace is a classy pizza place with personality.
I am a regular customer, drawn in by the fantastic pizzas. The ingredients are fresh, the base is thin and they’re cooked to perfection. A lot of thought has obviously gone into crafting the menu, because each pizza is individual and none are your run of the mill choices that you find elsewhere. Plus they’re good value – about 8 quid and pleasantly large in proportion.
My girlfriend is not such a pizza fanatic, but also loves this restaurant. The menu offers great salads and intriguing specials (pasta, fish etc.). Also, they have a decent and very reasonably priced wine list.
The décor is modern – open brick walls, high ceiling, clean lined wooden furniture – and the atmosphere is relaxed and funky. The place has character, but doesn’t take its self too seriously.
Service is attentive, unfussy and friendly.
Providers of my favourite pizzas in London. I definitely recommend a visit!

I had dinner with friends on Friday, it was good night out. We waited a bit of time for our food, but considering place was packed it was understandable. Food was great and staff efficient. We definitely go back when next time in London

I've now been here twice, even though vowing never to visit again after my first (other friends organise it - what can you do?)
The food didn't turn up, we asked the waitress. She said that unfortunately, the kitchen hadn't been able to read her handwriting and so they hadn't made the food. WHAT! So when there is a dispute between the kitchen and serving staff - they push the problem onto the customer. That's a zero score for a start.
Finally the food turned up, well some of it. The starters arrived, but one pizza was missing (and that happened last time too). The waitress didn't even think to apologise. We decided not to wait twenty minutes for the last pizza, as we had been waiting long enough, and instead we shared. Zero.
Now we'd never even considered getting money off the bill, but the lack of apology really hacked us off. So we decided to argue it. The manageress said "well, we've not charged you the tip, so that should be enough". NO! It's not that I think the serving staff don't deserve the tip - THEY DON'T DESERVE TO GET PAID AT ALL! Pushing for just paying for the ingredients would probably have been going a bit far, and in the end we were just too tired to argue any more. They won. Erm, zero.
Just to top it all off, just as we were leaving, they brought over the last pizza! They had made it specially (probably in the hope of a tip). I can't score staff intelligence - but it would be zero if I could.
In the modern world where eating in restaurants is so much more common, restaurants seem to have forgotten that eating out is about enjoying food with friends, and not just the quality of the food. Enjoyment is something we didn't get here. NEVER AGAIN.
On the individual scores:
The pizza is better than most - above average, but not 10/10 - I'd reserve that for a VERY good restaurant.
The atmosphere is okay - modern, white walls, wooden floor, you know the kind of place. Style, but no ambience.
The price is what you would expect, not too much, not too little.
Service - zero.

Visited this restaurant last night and the food was very good - good sized pizzas and great value starters. However, the experience was spoilt by the unfriendly service and the fact that the bill had automatically included a 12.5% tip! When the waitress was approacheed regarding this, she explained that the 'tip' was obligatory unless something was seriously wrong with the service. Shame as the place has a nice atmosphere and everything was freshly made.
