Wow! Never in the history of going to restraunts have I ever come across such a rude and arrogant supposed manager. The food was delicious but at the cost of the manager coming out the front and screaming across the street " if you don't like the service then don't come back here". This may have been sparked due to the fact that we had told his collegue that he had a bad attitude and may want to look for another job. Cheers to the waiter who served us all night you were more then helpful. Would my mates and I go back...? Well we don't really have an option as per my second sentence.

I've had pizza furnace many times and was never too impressed. I always felt as though when my work ordered out, it wouldn't taste too good...So 2 week ago I went in with my boyfriend to get a pizza. It was really really busy, We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table. It was cool, we didn't mind, but we were tired and so hungry. We decided to get the ventriccina pizza and gorgonzolla. It was undoubtedly the best and most satisfying pep and cheese pizza ever. They double everything on it so its hearty and filling. To enhance your experience I would suggest eating there and getting other pizzas... Thanks for the amazing left overs!

An excellent find. After coming across this place around 18 months ago, I have now lost count of the times that I have been back. The food is always excellent and the staff equally so. I always get a friendly smile and time for a quick hello. Choices of pizza and wine are superb, along with the various specials which are always on offer. Really really worth a visit.

We showed up at Furnace quite late on a Friday evening. There was a fun buzz about the place. It was rather full but the waiting staff were very helpful in rejigging to get us a table for 6 in short order. Food was a refreshing change from the pizza chain fodder - fresh and interesting ingredients. I'll be back.

A very enjoyable evening with old friends. Great food and good wine and lively atmosphere. I think anyone would struggle to find a tastier pizza in London. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a relaxing and enjoyable nice in front of a warm furnace fire!

I went to this place with a group of friends. The experience couldn't have been worse.

There were only six of us and we only ordered wine and pizzas, so not exactly a complicated order. The wine took an age to arrive and about an hour later five pizzas turned up...erm where is the sixth I found myself asking. After a good five minutes wait we realised it wasn't going to appear, so we called over the waitress. I would describe her at best uncaring and she accused us of not ordering six pizzas! When I complained and asked for the manager I expected some apology - needless to say, I didn't get it! I then said we weren't paying the full amount as we didn't get the food we asked for and the manager said he was calling the police!

The is the worst restaurant experience I have ever encountered. Bad, slow service, uncompromising and unwilling to admit to their blatant mistakes - I wouldn't care the restaurant wasn't even busy!

I felt we were bullied into paying for something we didn't get and the quality of the food was nothing to write home about.

in summary - a truly, truly awful experience and this place completely ruined a night out with friends that I don't get to see very often. I don't go out to have full blown debates with ignorant restaurant managers and their inept staff. This place made me really sad. Don't let the same happen to you - avoid it like the plague.

average, medium, mediocre, middling, indifferent

Adjectives intended to indicate a lack of distinction, with mediocre stressing the undistinguished aspect of what is average.

Middling is probably more appropriate, refering to a ranking between average and mediocre.

I stumbled across this restaurant last week with my partner and what a find! The atmosphere is lively and the staff are friendly. But where the restaurant gains points is in the food - the pizza there is amazing, I had the Due de Parma and will be going back to try more. There's an open oven so you can watch your pizzas being made and cooked. My partner had a pasta special which was equally good. Definitely worth a visit!

The worst pizza I've ever had! Soggy, no toppings, tastes like a microwave pizza. If you have ever had an oven baked pizza you will know the difference! Terrible service on top makes it one to avoid at all costs!
