Reliably good food and very attentive service.

This is one of the very limited restaurant list that I take clients to, for the simple reason that I know that the food will be good, the service attentive and the overall experience excellent.

Every single one of my clients has enjoyed the food there and are always very happy to go back there even when I provide them with different options.

I am one of the most picky and demanding people when it comes to complaining about service or quality and I find it incredibly embarrassing when I take clients to a restaurant and it is not up to standard. It reflects badly on me and I will simply not go back if they let me down.

There are so many poor or mediocre restaurants in London. This is certainly not one of them.

I went to have a lunch meeting with three colleagues last week for the first time and wasn't very impressed with the quality of the food offered.

It was very busy and the service lacked in hospitality and no attention was given when required.

We decided to go for pasta as we had to get back to work within the hour so I chose spaghetti lobster which wasn't what I expected and found it to be very expensive as well, not the best value for money! My colleague had a glass of house wine which was not satisfactory at all.

It is a great shame that we won't be coming back as we work very close by but unfortunately for the money we spent that day, we would rather take our meetings elsewhere.

I went to this restaurant last week with my boyfriend and was extremely disappointed. When we first arrived, they threw a couple of packets of breadsticks on the table. I thought that an authentic Italian restaurant should have fresh breadsticks, and did take a moment to consider whether we should stay for the meal. The service was alright, although we did have to wait a while for our bill, which was incorrect when they gave it to us. I cannot really comment on the atmosphere a it was a week night, and there were only 2 other tables in the restaurant. We didn't get starters which was a relief as the main courses were average, to be kind. I got the spinach and ricotta pasta, which at £13, I thought should be fantastic. It was far from it. It was bland and uninteresting. I am extremely annoyed that we spent over £40 on two main couses and 2 glasses of wine that was just average. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant as it felt cheap and bland all round.

there are two things of note about this place that i saw while having lunch. first, it is filled with italian patrons. second, the staff and service is some of the best i have experienced in london, which unto itself is a reason to go back. why then was i so disappointed with the food? i started with the duck and chicken liver pate. it arrived looking like two scoops of chocolate ice cream with a little dusting of spices and cucumber slices. the toast looked like it needed a suntan, for pete's sake. it was bland, and i only ate about a third of it before giving up and weeping. the tuna carpaccio was too fishy tasting, although the spices and dressings on top were nice. the risotto with gorgonzola and pear could have used a bit more gorgonzola. my salad leadenhall was quite good with fresh buffalo mozerella, somewhat ripe tomatoes and an absolutely perfect avocado. the grilled eggplant on it had too much vinegar and the shredding of iceburg lettuce underneath was an insult. i recommend splitting a half bottle of the zenato valipocella superiore 2004 for 10 pound 50. great wine. i think perhaps one might have better luck ordering from the daily specials sheet.

Excellent lunch time experience. V good food (not quite Locanda but good enough) service unobtrusive but very efficient. Would definitely go there again.

A well run "happy" Italian with great unprecocious food. Bustling, friendly atmosphere and excellent service. Ambiance enhanced by unusual shape with lots of nooks and crannies. A very welcome addition to City dining. Well worth trying.

We went to Leadenhall Restaurant last Friday and were really pleasantly surprised. The food, service and restaurant were all very, very good. As there were no reviews for this restaurant, we did not know what to expect but can thoroughly recommend this restaurant and wonderful food. The service was very good, great friendly staff and we had a nice private area to dine, as there are various little nooks which semi separate you from others. We will definitely go back.
