Came here the other day and was totally impressed. Although it is a chain it is upmarket and not pretentious. I loved that the staff brought complimentary filtered water without being asked- the sign of a good restaurant. I had the Pollo Romana- although not very Italian, it was delicious and I will definitely be returning!

Went to dinner here on a whim with my GF. We both had the pasta with Italian sausage, spicy cherry tomato sauce with black olives and basil. I grew up in a traditional italian family from the south of Italy and I can tell you this pasta is one of the best I have ever had. The service was prompt and friendly.

I went to Strada last night (sat night) and we were greeted by an incredibly surly waitress who looked us up and down with distaste while we asked for a table. Once seated we weren't given any kind of drinks list and the only attention our table received from the staff was to try and deliver some main courses which obviously weren't ours as we were still looking at menus! After 10 minutes of being completely ignored and watching the couple next to us walk out before ordering, we followed their lead and left!

I went for some lunch here with my boyfriend on Sunday. Was able to get a table, the place wasn't that busy as it was such a rainy day!. I was abit annoyed we wasn't asked if we would like any drinks while we choose what we wanted to eat. A waitress come over a little later and asked what we would like, and finally what we would like to drink!
Pizzas were tasty and large, food is nice but i think they need to pay a little more attention to their customers!

I am Italian and I never eat italian food when I am abroad, but I have to say that I tried Strada and I loved it.
I loved the pizza, but most of all I loved the atmosphere.
I go back there everytime I am in London. Plus it is in a nice location, far from touristic places.

I don't agree about the pizzas, they are boring and doesn't have any flavour of the woodfired oven. Better try any of the real italians on Upper Street instead of this copycat.

I love Strada, by far my favourite Italian restaurant. The complimentary chilled water tastes lovely, and it's so nice that they keep on delivering it without prompting. Their pizza is lovely, and their garlic and rosemary bread is to die for (and for some reason, the Islington branch's seems that little bit better than other branches). Service is always good, prices reasonable and the ambiance clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.
