I usually love Strada, this branch is not like the others I have visited. The restaurant was empty when we arrived so was seated straight away. On waiting 20 minutes we had to ask if we could order our food and drinks. The drinks came but not complete had to ask again for other drinks. Food was left on service counter going cold while the rest of our order was still cooking. Starter plates still at table when the mains arrived. Had to ask for more drinks. Food was ok but not Strada standard. The whole time the place was empty and the staff seem to be arguing in a language I didn't know. I could go on!!! Please avoid if you want a nice meal and good service.

Not at all impressed by this restaurant. Pizza express is probably a better bet if you're looking for pizza/pasta. I didn't enjoy the food at this restaurant because it appears the chef is a little heavy handed and does not taste his food when he cooks - the pizza, garlic bread and salads were overly salted - to the extent that they were unpleasant to eat. The salad also had far too much vinegar - again to the extent that it was unpleasant. I'm currently drinking a litre of water to balance the salt intake. The waiters/waitresses were not particularly attentive. On the plus, I felt the atmosphere was ok (not romantic) but suitable for a lunch/dinner with work colleagues.

I usually enjoy Strada but this branch has some problems. It is as of May/June/July 2009 having a problem with ventilation, and there is a large overhang of smoke on the ground floor. It has been ongoing for several months and I go back hoping that it is fixed, but after months it has not been fixed. Avoid this branch; try the one in the Brunswick Centre or Zizzi on Bow St for similar fare.
