Oh dear!
I have been coming here on and off for years- pretty much since it was opened...and loved everything about the place.
Very sadly the last time I was here, whilst the food & service was still excellent the decor had become downright shoddy- things hanging off all over the walls in the lavatories....I guess I should have had some inkling because even though it was Friday evening we were able to get a table without having booked & the place was not more than half full.....
Please, somebody! Do something about this!...Eyre Bros is one of my favourite haunts & its going downhill!
Grumpy.

this is a good place, but it has whiff of modern gentleman's haven about it. it's chappish. even the food feels masculine. a very specific sort of a vibe.

Iberian food with Siberian service. Range and quality of food excellent. Unfortunately my impression of the service was pretty pretentious. I don't appreciate paying £100 a head for Paella and being made to feel like the restaurant has done me a favour to let me eat.

Business lunch for 4. Friendly and efficient greeting followed by a couple of drinks at the bar with no hassle to be seated. Excellent starters and maincourse (prawns were wonderful). staff were helpful and attentive but not too intrusive.
All in all a great venue with excellent food and comfortable atmosphere.

Absolutely faultless. Open kitchen and bar set alongside elegant dark wood and soft white linen. Knowledgeable, impeccably timed service. Salt cod cooked to perfection; rich, hearty pheasant with pancetta, mushroons and chestnuts in a red wine sauce. Quince tart with vanilla ice cream and warm caramel sauce - the closest thing to perfection I have ever tasted. A meal for two - starters, mains, and the perfect desert (shared), plus a delicious bottle of red, water and pot of tea came to just over 100 pounds. Exceptional.

Excellent restaurant split into two areas. You can have a chilled glass of wine and a tapas or a full blown meal depending how much time you have. I recommend the latter. I spent some time in Portugal and Spain and would recommend the food and ambience here if you are ever near the City

Ate here with friends on Saturday night, and had a great time. Excellent and unusual food (I had the hare soup (more like a wonderful mini stew) and chicken, excellent wine and competent friendly service, led by David Eyre. Quite a buzzing atmosphere especially considering the location, and although the restaurant was slightly short-staffed that evening, we were treated very well and had a most enjoyable and leisurely meal.

I cna't quite put my finger on it but there is something about Eyre Brothers that means it is not the greatest of experiences. The food is excellent - my clams were sweet and very tasty but very hot (tempreture not spice) my partners beetroot was lovely. The mains were equally good and the somellier recomended an excellent wine. And yet, and yet the room is very elegant but slightly cold and the service was off-hand, casual but not bad. It just all added up to a good but not great evening

Good setting, i really enjoyed the food although two friends of mine were not as impressed with there starters as the potatoes were over cooked. Location is great too. I would go back again.

I've eaten here loads. The food is really gutsy, full-flavoured and not over chi-chified (which is on the increase in London again). Portions v generous.
Wine list is great too esp if you ask Trent or Rob Eyre (one of the founding Brothers)
Its a wonderful looking restuarant too, dark wood, white linen and nice balance between formality and relaxed cool.
I love it!
