Masterful interpretations of Thai cuisine. Unusual combinations of ingredients that dazzle the taste buds and whet the appetite for more. Deserved of its Michelin star. The friendliest staff I have ever encountered. They knew exactly when to assist without being intrusive. Decor was minimalist as were the choices on the menu. It was expensive but these latter considerations are immaterial when the overall experience is this good.

When I read some of the comments below I cannot help but wondering whether these people have actually eaten in Nahm and whether they actually have a palate to distinguish usual Thai food from a gourmet meal! No other Thai in London (I have tried many) will match the experience. You can taste almost every ingredient whether the dishes are spicy or not. This speaks for absolute freshness and quality of the ingredients. I can only describe it as an explosion of flavours in my mouth!
I do agree however that the decoration is a bit blend and that they could improve on the desserts. But Thai cuisine is not really renowned for its desserts anyway.
This restaurant totally deserves its Michelin Star and has also an excellent wine list. As to the portions I think they are more than reasonable. My favourite restaurant in London?

After reading the many good reviews on Nahm it made really look forward to my very first meal in Europe's only Michelin starred Thai restaurant. The menu looked very appetizing however when the food arrived we were slightly disappointed. The chef is adventurous in the use of chillis and herbs, an essential in Thai cooking, however he was a little overenthusiastic in both the quantity and variety of herbs which led to a clashing of flavours. I ordered the spicy beef salad as a starter and was warned that it was very spicy, just how I like it, but I was never warned that it was very salty, which made it very hard to finish the dish without ordering another bottle of mineral water.
For mains we ordered the seafood dishes. Lobster braised in palm sugar and grilled haddock in curry. The dishes were very good ideas, and were presented very well, but the danger with seafood is the diah can go horribly wrong if the quality of the seafood was not up to scratch, it was a shame to find the texture of the lobster like it had been sitting in the freezer for too long, and the haddock tasted too fishy, not even the strong curry could overcome it.
I found that the dessert priced at £9.50 were too overpriced, not enough thought was put into them and the results clearly showed it.

I visited this restuarant for the first time last night and took your advice and went for the set dining experience which allows you to select one dish from each section of the menu - so it is not very set in terms of choice at all but offers a very rounded meal. The whole experience was helped by a very knowledgeable and friendly South African waiter. The food is sensational blending a very subtle use of sugar chillis and spices. The fiery beef salad and the duck particularly stood out. The quality of ingredients is very high as is the price but for quality originality and authenticity you would be hard pressed to find a restuarant as good as this anywhere in europe. You pay accordingly!

I went to Nahm on Saturday night. We started off with a couple of cocktails in the hotel bar which were good. The waiter that we had was very efficient knew what he was talking about and very helpful. He did try to encourage us to go for the set meal at almost £50 a head - it is not so much a set meal but rather allows you to choose options from the a la carte menu. We decided to go with our own choice and had 4 dishes plus rice which was sufficient (and we have big appetites!!). The waiter was very helpful and suggested we swap one of the dishes as it was too similar to another. The food was wonderful and the flavours were sharp and reflected the four flavours of Thai in most of the dishes. We had a great evening. I would say that the restaurant decor is not excactly exciting nor was the restaurant full - but we didn't go for that we went for the experience and it definitely delivered.
