Eat Me by Alexandra Antonioni

Eat Me, by Alexandra Antonioni, combines two of women's most secret and cherished
pleasures (food, and cheap gritty relationship advice) into one handy book.
With over twenty years' experience in the food industry, and probably a similar
amount of time on the dating circuit, Antonioni is uniquely qualified to write
this fusion of dating stories and handy recipes for any dating situation.
Throughout the book, Antonioni chronicles the typical relationship, dividing
it into three aptly named stages: 'The Beginning' 'The Middle' and 'The End.'
With humorous and toe-curlingly familiar detail, she recalls relationship experiences
of her own, as well as loosely researched opinions of people she knows to provide
a descriptive, and delicious, account of what goes on in our dating lives.
Plowing through a typical relationship, she pairs different foods with different
moods. There is a whole chapter on the seduction dinner, where she provides
recipes and cooking advice for three different possible menus. A salad of parma
ham with figs, accompanied by a linguini with lobster and champagne, and iced
raspberries with hot white chocolate sauce for dessert will make for a perfect
evening, and keep him coming back for more. Antonioni also includes throughout
her book a delicious and inspiring selection of post-coital snacks, lazy Sunday
breakfasts, comfort foods, morning after brunches, and more.
Antonioni stresses that the laws of dating have changed, and whether we like it or not, we now live in a world of 'serial, but temporary monogamy, where a smorgasbord of endless possibilities exists.' It is now easier to bounce back from failed relationships and start new ones...all the while utilizing food to help you in the struggle. As she says, 'the way to a man's heart is definitely through his stomach.'
For a light read complete with fun and simple recipes, Eat Me is a sure bet.
Antonioni is no Gordon Ramsay, but she might be able to help you get a date
at one of his restaurants.
