PJ's Grill (Covent Garden) review by Belinda
I visited this restaurant on 26th June with a friend as part of a dinner & show deal booked through toptable.
Our reservation was for 6pm and due to train problems we didnt arrive until 6.40pm. I was really anxious that we would be too late or that we would not have enough time to enjoy and eat our dinner before the show started at 8pm.
When we arrived they said being late was no problem and promptly showed us to our table where they asked what time we had to be at the show and gave us our menu.
The pre theatre menu had 3 starter options and 3 main options, we were given bread while we looked at the menu and our drinks order was taken quickly.
The food was absolutely delicious and so much nicer than we expected. We both had the tomato and mozeralla for starter and the chicken with potato rosti and spinach for the main.
From the outside it looks like a little cafe and you probably wouldnt look twice but inside its large, airy and a really nice place. The food is certainly what I would class a gourmet, not greasy or anything like a TGI's - it was really refreshing to be in a nice restaurant and dressed up but not breaking the bank balance.
We were served out food very quickly but we never felt rushed in any way, they seem to know the perfect balance and appreciate that people are in a rush to get to the theatre show but also want to enjoy their meal.
All the staff were very friendly and professional.
I would HIGHLY recomment this hidden treasure!
