Bouga Restaurant review by Gav
Not much to say about this place that hasn't already been covered below. They do like a sales pitch don't they - which is fine if everything measures up. Sadly it doesn't. Everything is really average - not awful just really bog standard. A meal for four plus a few drinks worked out at about £160. For £2 I could have taken a bus to Holloway Road, got far superior chicken shish from Crystal Kebab bought a really nice bottle of wine and still have a pocket full of cash. Next time that's exactly what I will do when I fancy some grilled meat.
I also wouldn't have had to wait about an hour and a half for my food - not especially annoying when you are chatting away and catching up but when your stomach starts to grumble and you notice on your watch that an hour has passed since ordering and nothing, then you might be a little annoyed. When another half an hour passes and you are served some chunks of bland grilled meat and some average salad you feel a little let down. Starters were average all the main courses that came (i tasted them all !) were average - could probably pick everything up off the shelf - frankly why bother.
