Boulevard Dining Room review by Anon

Myself and a friend went to the Boulevard Dining room to sample the special offer - three courses and a glass of bubbly for £15. Unfortunately we were not impressed.

Firstly, despite calling ahead to explain my friend is a coeliac (cannot eat wheat or gluten) and being promised she could swap any course from the main menu if she couldn't eat what was on offer and still pay the £15, we were told we'd have to pay the difference and not order anything too extravagent. The waiter was not clued up on what the food consisted of which meant it took a very long while for my friend to find something she could eat. We were then served the wrong staters and the waiter forgot to give my friend a spoon for her soup so we had to grab another waitresses attention. Mains were ok, but we had to order a side dish to fill us up. Lastly, we were forced to pay the "optional" service charge which we thought was unnecessary after the poor service.

We won't be going back any time soon which is a shame after the good reviews i had read previously to booking a table.
