Mimosa at Fulham review by Effie

we went on Saturday - the same night as the reviewer below. Service was quite slow but to be honest we chatted to much we didn't really notice and the staff were still very friendly and helpful - turned up when you needed them (didn't spend any time waving our arms trying to get anyone's attention)

The food was wonderful - we had goats cheese with goosberry chutney and pears on ciabatta which was pretty big and perfectly melted, also chorizo and halloumi skewers cooked to perfection (neither halloumi nor chorizo had that rubbery overcooked consistency)

Our mains of springbuck steak were to die for - somewhere between lamb and venison in taste, melt in your mouth consistency, gorgeous chargrilled flavour (the smell of the chargrill made me immediately hungry before we'd even reached the restaurant!) with substantial and fresh salad.

Our shared pudding of lime creme brulee came without being burnt on the top! Clearly the staff were worried about waiting time and whisked it away before the chef could finish it off! when it came back it was lovely, the lime flavour wasn't too strong and the creme light and fluffy

We didnt even realise we'd been there 3 hours...so maybe the service was a little slow but we had such a good time with gorgeous food in a lovely atmosphere it didn't really matter - when food is this good one should take time to savour it!
