Aubergine review by Marc

We went to Aubergine last night (Wednesday). We ordered the expensive £140 truffle menu. The food was outstanding. The chef William Drabble is a class act. The sommellier was excellent, although the wines were a little too pricey for what you got. The service was possibly the best I've ever experienced, not merely correct and prompt, but genial as well. This place has 4 AA rosettes which puts it on a par with a couple of 2 Michelin star restaurants and even with the great Waterside Inn. It deserves it.
