Northbank Restaurant & Bar review by Stephen H
Went for a big family meal on a sunday, so it was quiet, but very happy with the place. Started with the Falmouth Crab and Clotted Cream Tart which was excellent despite thinking it might be an odd combination. Warm, creay and tasty. Then had the Spiced ‘Gloucester Old Spot ‘Pork Belly with Razor Clams and Smoked Sausage which was also very good, cooked just right.
Service was pretty good, though it sometimes took a while for them to notice us as we were right at the back. Atmosphere was, again, a little different as it was so quiet, and they really need to do something about the sun being too bright coming through the window, but otherwise was good.
All in all it cost about £50 each, including wine, so was what you'd expect. Generally a very good place to go, and we were all happy with it.
