Duke of Cambridge (Angel) review by LK
The mixed reviews of the the Duke of Cambridge had me a little worried. I've just eaten there in a party of 10 for lunch, and the quality of food was quite definitely mixed! Those who ordered the venison absolutely loved it, the pasta dish was ok but pasta overdone (not cooked to order?), and a mackerel dish had to be sent back it was so awful. They had managed to place an old tasting piece of mackerel on top of a bed of curried split lentils with a strong black olive tapenade on top. A shame really. Service was great, they exchanged the mackerel for another dish, and we all had a great time regardless.
