1901 @ Andaz (formerly Aurora) review by Kos Lesses
I took my wife to Aurora for our 2nd anniversary. It was a great experience all round. We started with cocktails in the lounge connected to the main restaurant. Once our table was ready one of the waiters escorted us from the cocktail lounge to our table. Food was superb and really had no complaints at all. Waiters were extremely knowledgeable and very helpful at all times. You don't always find friendly waiters in restaurants of this calibre. As far as the setting goes the environment is gorgeous and you have space between tables so you do have privacy. What really set the night for us is seeing one of our waiters race off to the kitchen after my wife enquired about a desert that was not on the menu. He quickly returned to inform us the Chef could make one. Fantastic service and we were pleasantly surprised.
Due to the price tag I would not be a regular visitor to Aurora but I will definitely be back for special occassions and at the very least a nice cocktail once in a while. Thumbs up all round.
* Their bread is amazing and I could have stuffed myself silly if I didn't tell the waiter to stop!
