Beauberry House review by Mr J Hunt

We visited Beauberry House on a Saturday evening and we were extremely disappointed; the service was abysmal. Our experience at Beauberry House was far from an enjoyable one. At first instance, the staff forgot to provide us with any bread, and then a series of mistakes were made with our appetisers and entrées at which point we were told that we would have to wait 20 minutes for our original orders. Following this the waiter then provided us with the wrong accompanying side dishes.

The alleged manager provided us with a couple of glasses of champagne to apologise, however he dropped a glass covering my partner in Champagne, which left her soaking wet. He apologised and provided us with a discounted bill at the end of the evening and invited us back the following week for a ‘meal on him’; he later confirmed it would be a totally free meal. We returned on the following Saturday and found there had been little improvement to the standards of service. As we left we were asked to pay 50% of the bill and told that he was not in fact the manager and he had no authority to offer a free meal as a means of an apology. We were even more outraged when the so called manager was confronted by the general manager to which he denied offering a ‘meal on him’. I would advise anyone to reconsider dining at Beauberry House in the near future; the service is far from satisfactory. I would expect more graceful service at The Harvester!
