Lakorn Thai review by Mary Fletcher
The only review I have seen of Lakorn Restaurant was extremely negative, which I find strange. Four friends and I went recently after a performance at Sadlers' Wells, which is only two minutes away, and had a very good Thai meal. We had starters and main courses with rice, plus two bottles of red, and the bill was about £19 per head. The food was well-cooked with all the usual dishes you would expect on a Thai menu, nicely presented and full of the usual Thai flavours of lemon-grass, coriander and coconut milk. The mixed starters were particularly good. Service was attentive, loos clean -- what's not to like? If there was any criticism to be made, it was that we were very politely made aware after we had eaten and were sitting chatting, that perhaps it was time to pay the bill and depart. But then, it was Sunday night, and by this time 10.30-ish -- so fair enough. I would definitely go again.
