The Depot review by BQ

Unfortunately I was at the Depot Restaurant in Mortlake SW13/14 with friends last Friday, March 14, 2008 & have to say It was probably the biggest rip off I have ever encountered at a restaurant of this so called ilk.

Modern European Cuisine? I think not.

£30 per head for a 2 course set menu, 3 choices of main consisting of shepherds pie circa 1960, a mixed fish risotto that almost ran off the plate & a vegetarian pasta that was so sticky it could have been recommended to any interior decorator.

3 choices of starters, prawn cocktail circa 1960, a wafer thin Foie Gras or Cauliflower soup. all of which were so ‘naff’ they beggar discription, I think I`ve eaten better food in motorway services.

The attitude of the staff when spoken to about the ‘food’ was superior & condescending which only went to prove how awful this so called food (!) outlet is.

Please take my advise & give this one a miss, they deserve to go out of business.
