Pasha Islington review by Simon

Visited the newly redesigned Pasha last night and was very disappointed. It was one of my favoutite restaurants, being a very cosy, charming and relaxed place with loads of character and a superb menu that never put a foot wrong. Recently they seem to have had a Ramsay type makeover but not in a good way..gone is the cosy, old world charm and in has come a trendy, minimal cafe type decor and a very sparse menu that seems to have lost all the favourite dishes they did so well. The foods still good but has become more lazy and formulaic; a mixed shish included simply boiled rice where it used to be a rich and exotic with fried onions and spices. Maybe the change was because they wernt getting the punters in but the place seemed quite empty comapared to a when I last came. What a shame.
