Savoir Faire review by Gemma

My boyfriend and I ate lunch at Savoir Faire on a Saturday afternoon and were not overly impressed. After seeing all of the good reviews on this site we were quite excited about eating there but in the end it didn't turn out to be that good.

Firstly our pre-meal crusty bread arrived at our table without any butter, so we waited for about 5 minutes before assuming that we weren't going to get any. I choose a Caesar Salad for my starter which was full of lettuce leaves that were brown around the edges. My boyfriend's Paté starter consisted of two large pieces of Paté with one miniscule piece of bread. The main courses were alright but looked more like food you would cook at home rather than restaurant food. The deserts were also interesting. My boyfriend and I both ordered chocolate mousse but mine turned out to be more like chocolate milkshake as it was extremely runny, whereas my boyfriends was set perfectly how you would imagine a chocolate mousse to be. All in all, a very average quaint little London eatarie. Good points were that we were using a Times 3 meals for £10 offer so the bill was cheap, we never got asked for our tokens either. The house red was also very nice as was the bottled sparkling water. The service was not bad either, the waitresses were very polite and attentive.
