Eating at this restaurant can be a gamble as to whether the experience will be a positive one or a disappointment. This, however, is rarely down to the food. The food is always good to excellent and the steaks my friends and I ate last evening were perfectly cooked. The food is also very reasonably priced.

The staff are the problem.

The service was indifferent. The staff never return to your table while you are eating to ask if everything is OK, and are extremely economical with smiles, greetings, and all the usual stuff that is very easy to give out but makes a dining experience memorable rather than merely average.

The staff also seem poorly managed with seemingly loads of staff present on what is a relatively small floor. A space that could be skillfully managed by one member of staff alone in many other restaurants. Yet despite this abundance of staff the service is still lacking in friendliness, efficiency and attentiveness.
