Quaglino's review by Neil
This was by far and away the worst meal and eating experience I have ever endured.
In retrospect I should have suspected the meal was going to be awful when we arrived to see the place almost entirely deserted.
It took 20 minutes for us to finally be given a wine menu by the unpleasant and unintersted waitress who then seemed surprised that we actually wanted to order some wine. The Carpaccio beef starter was passable at best but I could not believe the state of the main course of Fish Stew. It consisted of 4 lumps of unrecognisable, tasteless fish and 2 boiled potatoes floating in a bowl of orange coloured water. I have honestly never been served with a worse dish.
The rest of my tables dishes were equally awful and not one of us could bring ourselves to eat the meal which is a first as far as I am concerned. When we explained the situation to the manager he weakly apologised for the watery stew and then promptly returned to the waiting station where he stood there openly laughing at us. Truly awful.
