Andrew Edmunds review by Eager Beaver

Ate here recently as part of a birthday dinner party. Yes it's certainly a cramped place, similar to The Stockpot for "intimacy" ! The busy ambience worked quite well on the night I was there, although had I been seated right next to a canoodling couple or a shouty goon, I would most definitely not have been happy (and would probably not have stayed). Anyway, one presumes that West End overheads have to be met, hence the number of covers in such a tiny space.

The wine list was far longer than the food menu, which perhaps says something about priorities. The menu itself was limited, with about six choices of main course on offer, four of which weren't to my personal taste. One hopes that these dishes change daily. My companions all had the lamb shank which they voted fine, although I thought it looked overcooked. I opted for the vegetarian mezze dish, which was tasty, but the portion was miniscule, and more like a starter! Hmmmm.

Service was okay throughout. Not bad, but certainly not anything like good value. Not sure I'd go again.
