Battersea Tandoori review by Richard

Looks from the outside like your usual, bog-standard local Tandoori Restaurant and the decor is similar. However, once you have crossed the threshold and been greeted by Ali and his excellent loyal waiters, you will be fortunate enough to eat some of the most wholesome, delicate, traditionally cooked and amazingly priced indian cuisine available in London. I have eaten at all the "top" Asian Restaurants like Veeraswammy, Chutney Mary etc etc and the only one I go back to (regularly!) is Battersea Tandoori. I honestly recommend all the food on the menu, I try something different every time and am always wondefully surprised by what comes out of their kitchens. My father used to teach Asian cookery and I also have a penchant for cooking Indian food and I know what is good and what is cheap, fatty rubbish. What's more, two of you can eat all you can and drink till your hearts content and usually thr bill will not be more than £25-£28.....amazing for the quality of food and brilliant, friendly service. By far the best Tandoori Restaurant in London, even if the decor and location aren't up to that much. Try it, you will not be disappointed.
