I've eaten in Carnevale often and never been disappointed. The food is imaginative and very well flavoured. I find the portion sizes absolutely spot on - it's not cheap, but it is much better quality than other vegetarian restaurants I have been to - the only one which compares, in my experience, is Terre a Terre in Brighton. The interior is small but charming, and the service is always friendly. I would definitely recommend it - i've taken groups of people more than once and they've always been impressed.
