Thai Pin review by sammy mason

Came here by recommendation for an anniversary dinner and was quite disappointed. It's quite a small restaurant and I was seated next to the door which was very drafty. Quite pricey considering that the food is nothing out of the ordinary and the tiny portions. I ordered a mixed starter for two which lasted all of 30 seconds as my partner and I had one tiny prawn toast, one tiny spring roll, and one chicken satay each. We ordered a king prawn Thai Green chiken curry and Pad Thai for mains and again portions were quite small. My curry had 4 king prawns and mostly consisted of bamboo shoots with almost no other vegetables. As expensive as rice is I thought the portion was quite stingy. The service was good and prompt at all times. My general feel after leaving hungry and not being in there that long was that because of the small size they need a high throughput. My advice would be to look elsewhere unless it is convenient.
