Ploythai review by Anon
This is a wonderful little restaurant – the staff very welcoming and friendly, the service is quick and efficient, and the food amazing. The Thai Green Curry and Pad Thai noodles are the best I've had, and their seafood dishes are superb - really fresh and tasty. The décor is a little cheesy, but I quite like it for that – and the sound of the water feature in the window does make you feel like you’re a million miles away from the Lea Bridge Road, which can’t be bad.
I have a vegan friend and it can be tricky to find places to go where she’ll be catered for – at Ploy Thai they were really helpful and willing to adapt anything on the menu to suit her, so she wasn’t stuck with having vegetable tempura again (though their tempura is very tasty here!).
They're experimenting with a Lunch menu at the moment as well, which is fantastic value - two courses (including all of the above) for £6.50. Prices in the evening are really reasonable as well. Go - it's great!
