Fredericks review by Anon

We'd visited Frederick's on many occasions but feel it is in decline.

Last time was very disappointing - predominantly because of the service which was slow, inattentive and unfriendly.

We had to wait 15 minutes before they brought our apperatif (we had to ask twice), they rushed the first and second courses without any pause in between, and left us waiting over half an hour for the bill (after asking for it three times we got up and paid at the bar).

I was away from the table when the (rather expensive) bottle of wine was brought - so they just plonked it down in the middle of the table and left it there.

The staff's attitude was very arrogant - when we asked for the service charge to be removed the waitress at the bar just scowled and walked away. No attempt was made to find out why we had felt the service had been so bad. This is in fact the first time I have refused to pay a service charge in my life!

For £140 for two people you'd expect the service & food to be exceptional - however not only was the service poor but the food was rather average too (the fish was very overcooked and dry).

We'll not be back in a hurry.
