Sardo review by Guillaume Thevenot

This was our second visit to this restaurant in 5 years. We booked a large table of 10 people in the first part of the restaurant just by the bar to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday with friends. As expected, the decor is still very warm and neutral with this huge tree trunk in the corner of the room. To start, we had a bottle of Sardinian white wine with different types of breads and olives. The menu as always in a traditional Italian restaurant is divided in different parts antipasti, primi, secondi ...among us we took different starters from prosciutto crudo, squids, wild boar cured meat and for main courses we had Sardinian sausage, Spaghetti alla Botarga, Calf liver, Risotto with prawns (only one prawn…though), Linguine with artichokes…For deserts, we had some Tiramisu to share and Lemon Cream. At the end we finish with some limoncello and coffee. We spent a great evening in this restaurant and everybody seemed happy with what they had for dinner. The staff was quite helpful and efficient even though the restaurant was packed. It is a truly typical Sardinian restaurant in London where good food is mixed with good ambiance. One negative thing though was certain portions for starters were quite small compared to others especially the prosciutto crudo.
