The Brackenbury review by Nicholas Lezard

Lunchtime, a Wednesday: set course lunch, £12.50. For this you get 2 (two) baby squid stuffed with about twenty grains of risotto each. Main course: char-grilled chicken with potatoes and white beans. The potatoes came in little cubes and, bizarrely, half of them were undercooked to the point of crunchiness. The chicken was fine. The dessert - panna cotta -- was fine. The service, despite a not-very-busy restaurant, was slow enough for us to have to try and attract attention every time we were ready to order anything. I've been there a few times. Today was my last.
