Asmara review by M

I go here quite often, and have done for some time. All in all I've probably eaten here 40 times. Almost every time I have the messob - which is a big sharey/eat with your hands/stretchy pancakes and variety of dishes affair. Its absolutely amazing: it thrills kids to have a go at eating with hands when normally they're not supposed to! Its somewhere my friends from France always want to visit, and its delicious - lots of complementary tastes. This all comes as part of an overall deal involving the most delicious strong espresso-style coffee (poured from a clay pot through twigs) and popcorn. I've never left unsatisfied, there's always more than enough food (if you run out of pancakes they bring mroe),there's an element of ceremony and grace to the whole meal that other eating experiences lack. Its great value for money and my flatmate and I decided long ago that this was our favourite restaurant in London.

I went to an Eritrean restaurant in E&Castle once - it wasn't as good, so if you want to try Eritrean come here or visit the country.
