My husband booked a meal here for my 40th birthday. I have visited censored** before and was blown away by the food and service and thought it was well worth the money. However,on this occasion, I have to say I was thoroughly dissappointed with this restaurant of censored***. My husband suffered severe food poisioning as a result of a meal here, and after much correspondence with the restaurant, there was no apology or compensation. There was no atmosphere, although the service was good, but I'd expect that from one of censored** establishments. I was bitterlly dissappointed that my birthday was ruined and quite honestly how little gesture of goodwill was shown here. Wouldn't recommend it at all. Not sure if I'll go back to a censored**** restaurant again, given how I was treated here. But feel free to make up your own mind. I suppose nobody's perfect.

When there and find a thik curly hair in my plate!

Well, I’m afraid that my visit to *** was an absolute disaster. This is clearly a wonderful riverside venue. But the food was an overpriced disappointment. My £27 main course of roast suckling pig came with a noxious treacle sauce and an irritating mismatch of sour orange compote and half raw fennel. Despite the high prices, you still had to pay £5 extra for a few boiled potatoes. The supposed “Eton Mess” came with an impressively long hair – thrown in for free. And the wine arrived lukewarm. One of the worst and most overpriced meals I’ve had in a long time.

Last time I went into this restaurant, everything was fine... Until I found a fly in the fried rice. Showed it to the manager. Then he said 'Why I put a fly there?', I mean how sad is that? Steer away!!!!!!! No good!

This is a good restaurant. Just one thing to say though - I wish people would understand that rodent/pet infestations are a FACT OF LIFE in the restaurant business. Someone on this board didn't want to eat there because they saw a well-fed mouse come out of the kitchen. Show me a restaurant in Clapham that HASN'T had a mouse problem! For pity's sake... Did they see the mouse on their plates? No, it was on the floor. I assure you that mice are in most of the good kitchens in London. They are very hard to keep out, especially in a ground floor level site with close proximity to the underground and open spaces - all of which Rapscallion has.

Rapscallion, as I said, is a good place to eat (no, I've never worked there, or at The Sequel, nor does anyone I know). I just get fed up with hearing about people who know nothing abvout the realities of kitchens.

Ok, rant over. Sorry.

We went to the opening night--it was worth it for the belly dancer alone!A tall slim elegant blonde Lebanese lady, she entranced my table and all our guests,I have returned on several occasions, and even seen this wonderful lady used in the TV advertising, but have never seen her at this venue since.Subsequent visits have been a disappointment without this dancer and I hope to see her again---our night was made by her presence.

Our family went to the New Richmond restaurant and were sorely dissapointed. the staff and mangement were from a different planet and didnt care that we had a handbag stolen!

The back door was left side open for anyone to come in.

We didn't get to eat the food but the place was deserted not a good sign on a saturday afternoon.
