Cinnamon Kitchen
My husband and I went here a few weeks ago. We started off in the bar and had a drink and some Garlic Naan bread with dips. Although very tasty I found the cost well over the top for the naan. Atmosphere was lacking, the bar area is just way too big and empty so all the sounds echo and makes the space feel cavernous.
We moved to the Grill and we had a starter each, an item from the Grill each and bread selection to share. We also had a glass of wine each and shared a dessert. The food was cooked to very good standard. And I do have to admit it was all very tasty.
Do not sit infront off or just to the side of the grill. Sit at the ends. It gets extremely hot and the smoke will irritate the eyes. The restaurant is again spacious and has a feeling of emptiness even when busy.
Service was attentive and very polite and I cannot fault the staff at either the bar or restaurant. But the cost of the evening was 80 pounds.
The thing that let it down was the cost. I agree with the review with Juanio. Given the economic situation we find ourselves in, if the restaurant continues with this high pricing they will lose custom. I certainly wouldn't go back in a hurry, if at all until I see a change.

My husband and I decided to go here after reading the positive reviews on this site. I was pleasantly surprised. The freshly made bread was lovely. My husband had a kebab and I had a stew. Both were served piping hot and fresh.
Service was friendly and helpful without being too obtrusive.
The only issue would be atmosphere. As it is a little of the beaten track and so not an obvious place to go to, the night we went it was empty (although a couple of other people did turn up later).
If you live nearby I'd definitely recommend this place, especially as I believe in supporting local businesses. Give it a go and hopefully you will be as pleased as we were.

I have to say that I am extremely surprised by the reviews here. Myself and some friends went here one evening after a trip to the nearby Vue Cinema.
We were all disappointed. Not one of us enjoyed what we had.
One of us in the party chose the ooty tooty chicken (or something similar) although this tasted good it was served cold, as if it had been sitting around waiting for the other dishes to be finished off.
I had the Malai Kofta, the sauce was bland and was nothing like a Malai Kofta should be. Normally it would be made from a mix of vegetables including potatos and paneer. These were wrapped in bread and contained amongst other ingredients moong beans which hadn't been soaked long enough and hence were like getting small pebbles to chew on!
Sorry but none of us will be visiting here again.

Bombay Spice
I eat here regularly. There have been some negative reviews on this site and I do wonder if that's because it isn't your usual tandoori style restaurant. My experiences here have been consistently good.
Waiters are friendly and happy to advise. The reviewer who said the waiters added on extra food obviously didn't realise that you always get the house vegetable dishes on the side.
The food served here is closer to what you will find in an Indian home, rather than the bengali style food of most tandoori restaurants. I personally do not find the food overly salty and think that the spicing is just right. It doesn't blow your head off but isn't underspiced either.
All in all in my opinion a very good restaurant which I will continue to visit.
