Strand Carvery (Strand Palace Hotel)

Disgusting.

I have been eating in London's restaurants for 30 years and this is the worst by some distance.

Prison food must be better than this.

The hotel's management should be ashamed. Really. The meat we sampled (I think it used to be beef and pork) at 6.30pm had been out for many hours and was grey, dry as a bone and tasteless. It was like a sad reminder of England in the 1970s but at least then the meat was merely overcooked; as opposed to overcooked and left on a shelf to vitually fossilize.

My wife couldn't eat any of it so just had a salad for which she was charged extra!

Just do not go. It is simply awful.
