Ganapati
Ganapati is indeed a very interesting south Indian restaurant The interior is pretty rustic and dining atmosphere is very casual with tables arranged in dining hall type layout.
I have tried so many south Indian restaurants before, but have never come across one that served fresh unfrozen fish. I am very pleased by it as seeing only fresh ingredients on the main dishes are very a rarity. I ordered steamed fish in banana leaf and I must say it scored almost 10/10 in every aspect and made the visit worthwhile.
On the negative side, the ‘thoran’ (fried vegetables) they served on the side was cooked days before and came directly from the refrigerator. The Parattas (flaky bread) tasted same like a product that you get to buy from most Asian stores. Overall, the la-carte menu is a bit on the pricey side and less usual items that you would find on a typical curry house.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone contemplating Ganapati just for once the uniqueness it offers.

Sri Krishna Inn
Service is appalling. This is the second time we are trying and would never return here. We waited 30 minutes for the starters to arrive on a Thursday evening. The restaurant was just 50% occupied and it was very clear that they were running short of experienced staff. There was just one inexperienced bearer to service the tables. We got fed up and couldn't bother to wait longer after 40 minutes for starters to arrive. Walked out, even then the restaurant manager did not seem apologetic about the service given.

Quilon
We had our office unit-party arranged here for 15 people. Though they initially messed up with the booking, the table arrangement wines etc were done promptly in time. Food was disappointing to most of us mainly because Keralan cooking and food is different from rest of Indian. You must know what ingredients and cooking style of specific dishes tastes like though the menu explains the same very briefly. Bearers did not do the job well I guess. Decor and ambience of the restaurant is very good. As other commented already, the menu indeed is very expensive.
